Finding open design systems

I just gave a talk at Web Directions Developer Summit and as part of that needed to find out statistics around open source design systems. This site is an experiment to start but it has a few features which include:

Under the hood

The site was made over the course of a couple of weekends. It uses json files over a database and static files. The idea was to keep this all as minimal as possible. It is after all an experiment and the key was to have the data in as simple a format as to start using.

It is a start, not a finish and I am going to work with it from here, but for now I hope this is useful to others as it certainly has proven useful to myself.

I will also be using this site for my upcoming talk next week at Enqueue in Sydney, where I will be talking about ‘From Blocks to Prompts: Rethinking Open Design Systems’.
